You Are What You Eat Program: The Basics of Food
Food is what keeps us going, but the right food makes us feel alive. Complement your barre fitness workout routine with food that is nutritious and nourishing to truly feel the difference in your body and mind.
Learn about nutrition and how to eat right at iNSiDE Out STUDiO barre with Craig Pollard of AFitter.Me as your guide. Our years of experience have taught us unequivocally that fads and gimmicks do not work. If you’re like most people, then all you need to do is understand food better.
This educational 6-session course provides you the answer to these questions:
- What is food (carbs, protein, fats, etc.)?
- When should I be eating?
- What exactly does food do for my body?
The Sessions
The session structure is simple yet effective. Together, we will:
- Identify your goals
- Track your eating habits
- Learn the basics about food and its effect on your body
- Change what you eat and when you eat it so you can reach your goals
We’ll work with you closely for 6 weeks. Each week, you and Craig will review your eating habits from the previous weeks and discuss the progress you are making. After that time has passed, you will be armed with enough knowledge to go at it on your own for 30 days. At the end of those 30 days, you and Craig will have a final meeting to reflect on how you’ve been progressing and what you have learned about food and yourself. We’ll give you the necessary tools to continue your journey to a new you long after you complete You Are What You Eat.
Support from Start to Finish
When making a lifestyle change, one of the key success factors is having the support you need to make those changes. When you sign up for You Are What You Eat, each session is with Craig; you will never work with anyone else. This familiarity is beneficial for you both, as Craig can gain a deeper understanding of your body and goals while you can get more and more comfortable with him as your guide after each session.
For your convenience, session meetings can be done face-to-face or over Skype. In between sessions, you can always reach out to Craig for support by e-mail or text message—he’ll be more than happy to help you in any way he can.
Knowledge is Power
Empowering people with the right knowledge to take control of their lives is why we designed You Are What You Eat. It’s perfect for people who are ready to make a small but monumental change because it is suited to fit your unique needs—we don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach.
Professional trainers like Craig understand that 20% of your fitness goals happen in the gym and 80% of your lifestyle change needs to happen in the kitchen. Pre-made meal plans don’t work because you can only eat what you’ve been told to eat. You haven’t been taught why.
Our solution is to teach you which foods your body needs, how much you need, and when is the best time to eat. By understanding what proteins, carbohydrates, and fats are, and in which foods you can find them, you can choose a delicious and satisfying meal that will fit your nutritional needs no matter where you are.
In addition to the nutritional guidance, we can offer assistance in creating complete workout plans that will help you reach your goals.
